Use **Scroll Page** to move whichever page the automation tab is on before the next step. It can jump to the top or bottom, move up or down by a pixel distance you set, or scroll a picked element into view. The scroll is instant so a later [Click Element](/steps/click-element) or [Take a Screenshot](/steps/take-a-screenshot) sees the new position.

**Bottom of page** is one jump to the page’s current end. It does not keep scrolling while infinite-scroll pages load more content. Put [Wait / Delay](/steps/wait-delay) after the jump if the next step needs that new content.

Up and Down use the **Distance** stepper. Type any integer from 1 to 20000 (default 600). The plus/minus buttons jump 50 pixels; you are not limited to multiples of 50. Element mode uses **Pick on page**, the same CSS selector and occurrence (`matchIndex`) rules as Click, waits up to 6 seconds for the match, then centers it. A missing selector fails immediately. Non-http(s) tabs fail, the same as other page steps.

This step moves the document (`document.scrollingElement`). It does not offer a nested overflow container or smooth scrolling.

## How to add it

**Add Step** → **Scroll Page**. Add Step inserts **Bottom of page**. Choose **Top of page**, **Up**, **Down**, or **An element**. Up and Down show **Distance** — type any integer, then leave the field; plus/minus jumps 50px. For an element, **Pick element to scroll to** writes the selector. Click **Test scroll** to prove the tab moves before you rely on a run.

## Not this step

Does not click — that is [Click Element](/steps/click-element). Click still scrolls its own target into view as a side effect of the click. Does not wait for lazy content after a jump — that is [Wait / Delay](/steps/wait-delay). Does not photograph the page — [Take a Screenshot](/steps/take-a-screenshot) captures the visible viewport; place Scroll Page first for content that is below the fold. Does not reload the tab — that is [Refresh Page](/steps/refresh-page).
