The first install opens a welcome tab that shows how to pin Tab Automation, with links to the side-panel tour and the Explorer license. Updating the extension does not open it again.

Settings has Share usage statistics, on until you turn it off. While it is on, the extension sends anonymous counts of which features you use to Google Analytics. Page addresses, page content, and your license key stay on this computer.

The Dashboard opens in a full browser tab with Saved results, Pages & SEO, Run history, and Downloads. Browse retained history and output, search and filter records, and follow results back to their run.

Save Page retains rendered or source HTML. Save Text captures named fields as dataset rows, and Save Images saves selected page images. Screenshots and Download File outputs also stay in local Results; downloads now begin only when you request them from the Dashboard. Tests retain labeled Test output.

Preview saved images and highlighted HTML source in the Dashboard. Download individual files, export text datasets as CSV, JSON, or Markdown, or collect a run’s output in a ZIP.

Pages & SEO provides an inventory of metadata from Save Page and enabled Google source visits. Pages appear first; choose By run or By domain to group them and open matching captures. Inspect page declarations, then export selected groups or filtered captures as JSON, CSV or Markdown. Capture limitations and run provenance stay visible.

For Each Link accepts XML sitemap URLs, including nested indexes and gzip files. Preview collected pages, filter by hostname or path, and Ignore individual links. Each cycle fetches the sitemap again; failed children stop collection without running a partial list.

Tab icons now show a blue play badge for running automations and an amber pause badge for paused ones, including on loaded background tabs. The website icon returns when the automation ends or releases the tab. Show automation status on tab icons is on by default in Settings and can be switched off.

Take a Screenshot has a Full page toggle, off by default. It scrolls to load content and saves one PNG while keeping the sidebar open and restoring your scroll position. Very long or changing pages may save a -partial.png with a warning; the job continues.

Google Search exports retained runs as JSON, CSV, research Markdown with source citations, or a Complete ZIP with referenced source-page HTML. Finish or pause a running run before exporting.

Library splits Yours from Pre-built. Save on Add New writes a Yours recipe. An Active Job card opens Details; Edit in Library opens the linked recipe.

Add New can Save & Run. Always start this automation in a new tab opens a fresh tab to the Start URL.

For Each Link can Ignore collected URLs. Ignored URLs stay visible, persist, and are skipped on every cycle.

Custom automations are free. Explorer unlocks pre-built workflows and Dashboard record details, previews, and analysis, with 30 days of grace and offline continuity. Without a license you can still search, filter, export, download, and delete saved results, and dismiss the offer. Free license in the side panel opens the Explorer explanation. Add Step includes Press Key, Hide Element, and Download File.

Click Element can Hover, Double-click, or Right-click.

The Dashboard starts with saved files and tables. Four destinations, simpler export dialogs, combined HTML and metadata details, and a subtle brand background make results easier to browse. Metadata retry is offered only when retained HTML is available; earlier outcomes stay in collapsed recovery history.

A Yours card can start that saved recipe on the current tab. When Always start this automation in a new tab is on, it opens a fresh tab to the Start URL first.

Remove asks first. The automation ends, and saved results stay unless Delete saved results is on.

A recipe keeps the starting-page icon you choose, so reopening the editor shows that icon instead of a letter.

Google Search now starts from New search or Current search. Enter search terms or a supported Google results link to open a new tab, or collect the active supported results page. View search results opens the retained dataset; Pages & SEO links to that run’s page captures.

Saved results survive reruns and automation removal. Confirmed deletion controls let you remove selected results or clear retained content. Downloads tracks export progress, cancellation, and retry; paused-run exports keep a fixed partial snapshot.

The extension now requires Chrome's debugger permission for Full page screenshots. Chrome shows a debugging notice during capture, and existing users may need to accept the new access. Screenshot images are processed and saved locally.

Google Search now recognizes newer AI Mode reply blocks as AI Overviews, uses clearer result-type labels, explains source-page capture, and connects ranked observations to retained readable source text in Markdown exports.

Pre-built workflows now show their Premium status consistently and enforce the Explorer License when saving, running, resuming, restarting, or exporting.

Select a Tab explains new-tab and existing-tab starts. Turn off Always start this automation in a new tab to choose an existing tab; Go to Tab opens the selected tab and Change replaces it. Unused Values start collapsed.

The License key field supports Check again for any saved key. Clear asks first and removes only the key from this browser; custom automations and saved data remain available.

Adding For Each Link keeps existing main-chain steps above the new loop.

Google Search now shows Coming soon and is unavailable in the released extension, including with an Explorer License. Custom automations and Dashboard access continue to work.

A closed job card keeps the site name. It no longer replaces the hostname with Closed.

For Each Link waits for the page to finish loading before reporting that no links were found.

Storage errors preserve their underlying cause and pause the affected save for retry without repeating successful earlier steps. Saved-page metadata inspection can be retried from retained HTML, for one page or failed inspections across a run, without fetching the live website.

Screenshot steps and Test screenshot now capture the assigned tab without switching tabs, focusing windows, or restoring minimized windows. Both modes use debugger capture. Failures are reported without a foreground retry; general Start and Test Flow keep their existing focus behavior.

Test on a Full page screenshot step waits for image processing to be ready, preventing the startup error “Screenshot image processing failed.”

Wait / Delay Until can wait until a selector Disappears. If and Wait can compare a Saved value.

The automation card has Restart. It aborts the current wait or step and starts again.

A new automation can Test one dry cycle on a fresh tab without creating a saved job.

Library includes a Google Search workflow for the current www.google.com Search tab. It does not click consent or solve captchas.

Settings Language can Match Chrome, or pin English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese (Brazil), Korean, Chinese (Traditional), or Chinese (Simplified). The panel, notifications, and picker follow that language. The toolbar name follows Chrome. Translations are a best effort and will be improved.

Send Alert and Repeat Each cycle / When it stops can post to webhook destinations you save in Settings. Each output has a Test pill.

Repeat can Stop after a duration. Duration and cycle count stop at whichever comes first.

Scroll Page can jump to the top or bottom, a typed pixel distance, or a picked element.

Take a Screenshot saves a PNG of this tab's current visible page under Downloads.

Values sit above Steps. Declare names there; Save Value writes to them.

Play on a finished, stopped, or failed run starts a new run.

For Each Link and Go To change the assigned tab's URL without bringing that tab forward.

Activity has Clear History, Export JSON, Export Targets CSV, and Export Events CSV.

The sheet has an Automation section for Name and Description. Clearing a name stays cleared.

Select a Tab labels This window and Other window, and shows On or Paused on occupied tabs.

Parked cards stay grayed except Restore.

Save in the sheet footer writes the automation and does not Play. Edits lock while a run is in progress; Play and Pause stay in place.

The sheet header shows the assigned tab's favicon. Every Flow card has Activity.

Edit opens only from the Edit button.

Occupied tabs stay disabled in Select a Tab.

Restore reopens a parked tab and does not Play.
