Terms

Last updated 29 August 2026.

These terms cover the Tab Automation website and the Tab Automation Chrome extension. There is no account. Using the site or the extension means you accept what is written here.

The website

The site is informational. It describes the extension and publishes notes. It does not create an account, store a profile, or take payment.

The extension

Tab Automation is a Chrome extension. From the side panel it can reload open tabs on a timer, walk through matching links, and click or type on pages you choose. Automation state stays in chrome.storage.local on your computer. This website does not receive your tabs.

Where you get it

If you install Tab Automation from the Chrome Web Store, Google’s store terms apply to that install. If you get it from another store or channel, that channel’s terms, payment, and refund rules apply there. This website does not take payment.

As-is

The site and the extension are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Timers use Chrome’s alarms API and only run while Chrome is running. A reload, a link walk, or a click or type step can be missed if Chrome is quit, the tab is gone, or Chrome does not fire the alarm. Do not rely on Tab Automation as the only watch on a critical process.

Acceptable use

Use the extension on tabs you are allowed to automate. Do not use reload loops, link walks, clicks, or typed input to attack a service or to bypass someone else’s access controls. You are responsible for the pages you target and the steps you add.

Intellectual property

The Tab Automation source code is released under the MIT License. That license lets you use, copy, modify, and redistribute the software, including commercially, as long as you keep the copyright and license notice.

The Tab Automation name, logo, and the text and design of this website are not part of that grant. You may not present this site, or the Tab Automation product as distributed here, as your own.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Tab Automation is not liable for lost data, missed reloads, unwanted clicks or typed input, or other damages that come from using the site or the extension.

Some places do not allow these limits. If you have rights that the law does not let us waive — for example consumer rights in the EU, the UK, or Australia — those rights stay.

Age

The site and the extension are not directed at children under 13. Do not use them if you are under 13.

Stopping use

You can stop using the site or the extension at any time. Removing the extension from Chrome ends your use of it on that computer. We can stop offering the site or a store listing.

Privacy

What this website collects is described on the privacy page. The extension does not send tab data to this site.

Governing law

The jurisdiction that governs these terms will be added here before launch. Until then, these terms do not name a governing law or a court. Do not invent one.

If a clause does not hold

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes

These terms can change. The updated text will appear on this page with a new date.
