Values

Declare saved names in the New or Edit sheet, above Steps. Save value writes the live map. Use {{name}} in Type Text and mid-flow Go To.

Use Values to name data that later steps save, compare, or insert into text and URLs. It is a section above Steps in Add New Automation / Edit Automation, not an Add Step; each row has a name and an optional starter.

Names slug to letters, digits, and underscore, and must start with a letter. Save value and If / Wait Matches Saved pick from this list.

The starter seeds the live map only when that key is missing. Restart keeps a captured value. The live map persists across links, cycles, Pause/Resume, and Restart until you Remove the automation or start a new one.

How to use it

  1. Click Add under Values. Enter a name. Optional starter text.
  2. Add a Save value step and pick that name.
  3. Use {{name}} in Type Text or mid-flow Go To Web Page. Unknown names become empty. If / Else and Wait Until Matches use the Saved operand, not the token.

Editor Test on Save value does not write the live map.

Not this control

Is not a graph step. Is not Save value. Is not If / Else.

The side panel tour is the first place Values appears in the sheet. Walking through links is a common run that saves a field on each URL.

Tab Automation is not on the Chrome Web Store yet. See how an automation is built, then come back when a listing exists.
