Use Download File to save an HTTP(S) file in the local Results dashboard. Type a URL or insert a Values name as {{name}}. Save Value can read a link address first.
To collect one document link from each report page, follow downloading PDFs from multiple web pages. It includes a link check, a short verified batch, and ZIP export.
The runner fetches and retains the file before continuing, following redirects and Chrome’s normal credential rules. The limit is 1,000,000,000 bytes per file. Network or size failures fail this step. A storage failure pauses here so you can free space and retry without repeating earlier steps.
Open Dashboard → Saved results to download saved files when ready, or select several for one ZIP. No download prompt interrupts the run. Folder settings suggest the later export path. Files remain until explicitly deleted, including after rerunning or removing the automation. Test saves a labeled Test run. Files are not added to Values.
How to add it
Add Step → Download File. Enter an http(s) URL. Leave the folder empty to use Settings. Test download uses the same path.
Limits and related controls
Download File accepts a direct HTTP(S) URL; it does not expose custom headers or a POST body. Use Take a Screenshot for a picture of the tab, Go To Web Page to navigate, or Send Alert to send a webhook.
