Use Take a Screenshot to keep a PNG record of the page reached during a run. It captures whichever page the automation tab is on at this step, including after Go To Web Page, a For Each Link hop, or Refresh Page.
This step captures the target tab without switching tabs, focusing its window, or restoring a minimized window. With Full page off, it photographs the visible viewport. Test uses the same path as a live run.
Enable Full page to scroll through the page, load more content, and save one PNG, including content below the fold. The sidebar stays open, the page keeps its current layout width, and the original scroll position is restored afterward. Closing the sidebar yourself does not stop the job.
Loading and capture each have a 30-second budget. Very long or changing pages are best effort: usable sections are joined when needed, and incomplete results use a -partial.png filename with a warning. The output is limited to 32 megapixels and 32,767 pixels per dimension. This mode does not click Load more buttons or scroll inside nested panels; virtualized lists may omit content.
The PNG is saved in Dashboard → Saved results, linked to its run and step. Test saves a labeled Test run. Preview screenshots there, download individual images, or select several for one ZIP. Nothing downloads automatically. Advanced → Export folder overrides the Settings export folder; leave it empty to use Settings. These settings suggest the export path, with filenames such as host-timestamp.png. Results remain until you delete them, including after removing the automation. Images are not added to Values.
Storage failures pause at this screenshot step. Free space in Results and retry from the side panel without replaying earlier clicks or submissions.
Screenshots stay on this computer. Minimized windows may stop producing frames; capture then times out without restoring the window. Both screenshot modes use Chrome’s debugger access, which displays a debugging notice during capture. If capture fails or is incomplete, Activity records a warning and the rest of the run continues. A failed capture never switches to the tab to retry. General Start and Test Flow actions still bring the automation tab forward.

Add Step → Take a Screenshot. The step explains that capture runs without switching tabs, PNGs stay in Results, and Chrome shows a debugging notice. Click Test screenshot to prove the tab can be captured before you rely on a run.
Non-http(s) tabs fail, the same as other page steps.
Limits and related controls
Screenshot capture does not crop one element or attach the PNG to Send Alert. With Full page off, use Scroll Page first to choose the captured area. Use Save Value for element data or Download File for an existing file URL. Download retained images from Results when ready.
